UCL tried to gag me over two-year ‘harassment’ fight, scientist claims
An award-winning astrophysicist today criticised University College London for trying to silence her after she complained that she had suffered harassment from a staff member.

McAllister Olivarius client Dr Emma Chapman spoke with the Evening Standard about her experience at University College London, where she experienced harassment, made a formal complaint against the university, and was then asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement while settling with the university.

Dr Chapman refused to sign the non-disclosure agreement, saying, “I felt it was a moral obligation — it didn’t sit right with me to sit in silence while campaigning that we needed to break the silence.”

Georgina Calvert-Lee of McAllister Olivarius said Dr Chapman’s case could encourage others in her position to challenge confidentiality clauses.
