Ushiya Bhatti

Legal Analyst

Ushiya joined McAllister Olivarius in 2024 as a Legal Analyst on our US team and now works on a broad range of cases.

She studied Law at the University of Bristol where she completed a dissertation on migrant sex workers’ labour rights and the role of anti-trafficking laws and policies within that framework. During her academic career, she specialised in feminist and anti-racist law with a focus on how class, race, and gender impact access to justice.

Ushiya has previously worked with human rights lawyer Clive Stafford Smith OBE at the UK charity 3DC, where she assisted on cases of wrongful conviction. In 2023, Ushiya travelled to Texas for 6-weeks to work on a ‘Post-Mortem Project’ case.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, writing, and exploring cute coffee shops.
