Press and Marketing Director

James heads the firm’s press and marketing function, working together with our lawyers to explore new opportunities and promote our work externally. Before joining us he held senior roles in the legal sector for ten years, most recently as head of content and editor-in-chief at The Legal 500. He has also worked at a legal innovation consultancy and has contributed pieces to The Financial Times.

James was previously an academic and held lecturing positions at Imperial College, London and The University of Edinburgh, where he also completed his PhD. He has lived in Russia, Germany, Finland, and France.
