The Tab surveyed 4,000 students about their experiences of sexual assault on campus – and interview Dr. Olivarius about the shocking results.
“There is still no one in authority, like the OfS, telling universities that a fair procedure requires equal treatment of both parties,” said Georgina Calvert-Lee. “We’ve always had recalcitrant universities who just won’t do anything until they absolutely have to. And that’s why they’ve eventually got to make it mandatory.”
When university complaints procedures for sexual misconduct systematically favour the accused over the complainant, the universities create a discriminatory environment towards women who make up most complaints.
