McAllister Olivarius writes in support of The Sex Trade Survivors Justice & Equality Act
McAllister Olivarius has written to the New York State Assembly in support of Assembly Bill A3386, “The Sex Trade Survivors Justice & Equality Act”. Federal trafficking laws have been important in bringing justice to sexual abuse survivors, and this bill presents another crucial opportunity for New York to take progressive action on their behalf.
The proposed legislation will be in alignment with federal trafficking laws, making it easier for trafficking victims to bring state trafficking claims under New York law. In particular, the bill will make it easier for those who suffered harm at the hands of religious bodies and cults to secure justice.

We urge everyone to write to Assemblywoman Pamela Hunter and voice their support for this important amendment to New York state legislation.
