RULING: Manders vs Adopt Berkshire

The county court at Oxford announced a clear, decisive and thorough ruling in favor of our clients Reena and Sandeep Mander’s claim against Adopt Berkshire of discrimination on racial grounds. Our clients were awarded around £120,000 in damages. 

Three years ago, the couple were told by Adopt Berkshire “not to bother applying” to become prospective adopters because of their Indian heritage. 

Judge Melissa Clarke ruled that the couple were discriminated against on the grounds of race.
